Our Classes
4218: Kids on Stage: Exploring Folktales, Fables, and Fairytales (Grades 1-3)
Students will build a performance using their bodies, voices, and imaginations through various folktales, fables, and fairytales. They will use acting skills, ensemble building, prop building, and collaboration to tell a story through a play.
There is no camp on June 19 in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
4218: Playtime AM: Puppetry, Props, and Play, Oh My! (Age 4 - Kindergarten)
Students will design their own puppets and props to tell stories and create characters. Students engage the actor’s tools of body, voice and imagination, as well as building their skills of the technical elements of theatre to create props and puppets. Please note: Student must turn 4 years old prior to the start of class.

4220-504: Actor’s Studio: Beginning Acting
with Renee Wimberley
This class is designed for adults who want to give acting a try, or revisit the basics in order to improve their technique! Students will participate in lively theatre games and exercises designed to free up the voice and body, stimulate creativity, promote self-confidence, and teach the building blocks of acting.
4220-504: Actor’s Studio: IMPROV (Anyone Can Do It!)
with Alexandra Finazzo
Discover the world of improvisation and how the skills involved connect and transfer to other areas of your life. In this class you will build skills such as spontaneity, listening, and collaborating with others as you create and act out scenes without an established script. This class builds confidence, creativity, and allows one to trust their instincts. No experience is needed to come and have FUN in this class.
4220-504: Actor’s Studio: Scene Work
with Lormarev Jones
This class focuses on developing acting skills through in-depth scene work. Students will rehearse and perform scenes from a variety of plays while exploring character objectives, relationships, and text analysis. Emphasis is placed on listening, responding authentically, and building strong connections with scene partners.
Through guided feedback and rehearsal techniques, actors will strengthen their performance skills, deepen their understanding of the script, and gain confidence bringing scenes to life on stage.

Come explore the works of Shakespeare with us! This class's object is to give students the confidence and tools to understand Shakespeare's words and turn it into playable action. We will break down the text, work with verse, and use acting techniques to help you connect emotionally.
