High School Performance Skills (grades 9-12): Landing the Role

Have you noticed your student’s dedication to landing a role in their school show? Sign them up for this class so your high schooler can learn what it takes to be fully prepared for auditions. This class helps students build the skills and confidence needed to perform at their best. With a focus on delivering memorable monologues, students will gain a deeper understanding of what directors look for in performers and leave feeling confident that they can give their best audition every time.
Middle School Ensemble (grades 6-8): Stage Combat: Art of the Fight
with Montgomery Davis

Enter the world of swashbuckling stage combat! In this fun, high-energy class, students will learn the fundamentals of theatrical fighting using both the single sword—the most common weapon in stage combat—and unarmed techniques, such as punches, slaps, falls, and more. Through safe, choreographed fights, students will build skills in footwork, timing, and storytelling through movement.
By the end of the course, students will confidently perform a staged fight scene, mastering the art of safe, dramatic combat—with and without weapons.
No experience needed—just a love for action and performance!
Actor’s Studio: Beginning Acting

This class is designed for adults who want to give acting a try, or revisit the basics in order to improve their technique! Students will participate in lively theatre games and exercises designed to free up the voice and body, stimulate creativity, promote self-confidence, and teach the building blocks of acting.
Actor’s Studio: Meisner Acting Technique
with Ruthie Martinez

This is an introduction to the acting technique pioneered by Sanford Meisner. This course is meant to acquaint the student with preliminary Meisner training techniques that will impart a truthful immediacy to acting work. Students will go through a number of Meisner exercises, leading to monologue and scene work. The emphasis is on acting in the moment, playing off one's partner, and trusting your impulses! You should come out of this course with a new perspective on acting technique, and less stage fright!
Actor’s Studio: Music Sight Reading for Beginners

This class is perfect for adults who love to sing and want to learn how to read music confidently—no experience required. In a relaxed, supportive, and low-pressure environment, you'll develop the foundational skills of sight reading: recognizing notes, rhythms, and melodic patterns so you can sing directly from sheet music without needing to hear it first. Through guided exercises, group singing, and ear training techniques, you’ll build your musical literacy step by step—at a pace that’s comfortable and encouraging.
