Ever wanted to be in a play, but you were nervous about the audition process? This class will give you the tools to prepare you for your next audition. Students will learn how to choose the appropriate audition material for a show and will explore various techniques to improve vocal quality, stage presence, and acting choices.
Session 3: Art of Voiceover (Adults)

Students will learn the history and significance of Voiceover work in various performance mediums. Through different vocal exercises and breathing techniques, students will improve vocal range, flexibility, control, articulation, projection, and resonance. Students will practice reading scripts to explore different vocal qualities, accents, and speech patterns to bring characters to life. This class is open to adults of all experience levels that want to improve vocal quality and/or learn about being a voiceover artist.

Session 3: Meisner Acting Technique (Adults)

This is an introduction to the acting technique pioneered by Sanford Meisner. This course is meant to acquaint the student with preliminary Meisner training techniques that will impart a truthful immediacy to acting work. Students will go through a number of Meisner exercises, leading to monologue and scene work. The emphasis is on acting in the moment, playing off one's partner, and trusting your impulses! You should come out of this course with a new perspective on acting technique, and less stage fright!
Session 4: Actor's Studio 1 & 2 (Adult)

Beginning and Intermediate actors will explore techniques that take them deeper into the art of acting. Students will participate in exercises and scenework, developing comfort and confidence, building connection with others, and engaging with the building blocks of acting.
